Daniel Jason O'Rourke (a.k.a Dan, DJ, D, or just the ddd sound you make prior to saying D) is a native of Toronto. This explains why his nose sometimes gets altitude sickness when it has to do with his fiancée's manners. His interests are wide and range from gaming to photography, to collecting guitars, to anything else that costs exorbitant amounts of money. But he is ridiculously good at what he does. He has passion and thinks in ways that many other people are unable to do. He eats chips out of bowls (not the bag), he does not chew his ice, and he refuses to stick his finger in the frosting. He has exceptional taste, something that was clear as soon as he started dating Laura.
Dan graduated from Acadia University with a bachelor of arts in Political Science. He then moved to Halifax to pursue his life long dream of becoming a civil servant. Since then, he has lived in three different apartments, he has been to countless eating establishments, he has been to the other side of the world and back, he has played Guitar Heroes 1-3, but he has only found ONE girl to spend the rest of his life with. What a lucky girl she is!
Laura Louise Jones spent her youth living in New Brunswick. Daughter of a Baptist Minister, Laura was raised in a wonderfully loving family. Despite her upbringing, she has managed to acquire some unfortunate eating habits. Her favorite utensils are her thumb and forefinger, she rarely obeys the 5 second rule and she was once caught eating brown sugar straight from the bag with a stainless-steel spoon.
Laura will graduated from Dalhousie University this year, with a double-major in English and Sociology. She currently waitresses Opa, a greek restaurant located in downtown Halifax, where she spends at least half of what she earns on her meals and beverages during her shift.
Laura does grapple with the heart-wrenching disease: Gamer-itis Denial-itis. Despite her regular expression of loathing of video games and those that play them, she can often be found tapping a DS screen, pounding on Rock Band drums or hollering into a Mario Party microphone. In spite of her hidden addiction she has yet to achieve the l33t skillz of her game-crushing fiancé. Keep trying babe!
